The time all four girls wanted a balloon
It was during coronavirus and we were leaving Magic Kingdom. We had come down for a four-day trip and it was our second visit and last visit of the trip to Magic Kingdom. It was Sunday, September 27, 2020. The parks were closing early. Magic Kingdom was closing at 7 PM. We dined for the very first time in Cinderella‘s castle and it was very special and we had a lot of fun. The park closed right after we finished dinner and the two younger girls spotted The big Mickey Mouse balloons that cost $15 each (some of the balloons actually cost $20 each- I digress)…So we decided we were going to buy them both a balloon and then within moments the two older girls noticed the balloons and wanted one too. My husband’s and my reaction was to immediately say “oh let’s save the money and get something else you’d appreciate more…”….A little bit sad they both agreed and walked onto the ferry. Minutes later I looked at my husband when the girls could not hear me and I said…”what if that’s the last time that all four of our girls actually want a balloon”. He understood it the way I did. They’re growing up so quickly and we were sad at the possbility of our older two daughter’s (8 and 10) soon not caring about the excitement of a balloon any longer. We instantly wanted to buy them one, but at that point it was too late. We went to Epcot the next day and we couldn’t find a balloon anywhere. Case in point of the story, buy your child the balloon. They are only young once. 🙂
