At first, I was drawn to animal rights through my own animal activism and animal rights charity but I couldn’t help shifting some of my focus  to humanistic concerns, as so much human suffering is on a par w/ that of animals. And neither group is positioned to adequately speak up for themselves. As someone who has seen the deep suffering with my own eyes I feel it’s my obligation to be a voice. I am on a mission to shed light on dehumanizing situations. As if it’s okay to do to non-humans. Which brings me full circle to my original motivation to stand up against abuse/neglect of all creatures.
